Applications
Eligibility
The Learning Interventions Institute is directed to all participants with an interest in and curiosity about how and why students, particularly those from underrepresented minority groups in the STEM disciplines, persist into advanced training in STEM disciplines, including the biomedical, behavioral, and interdisciplinary sciences. Participants must be actively engaged in providing administrative, management, and/or leadership support to campus-based student programs for more than 3 years. Participants must actively collect program assessments and question why, how, and for whom their institution’s student programs serve.
Preference will be given to (i) directors, managers, and administrators of programs that increase diversity in undergraduate and graduate education in STEM disciplines, including the biomedical, behavioral, and interdisciplinary sciences, and (ii) researchers trained in the natural and physical sciences, with an interest in the social and behavioral sciences, to illuminate understanding in student learning and encourage persistence into advanced training.
